Adam Witt is a member of Stoel Rives’ Real Estate group. Adam’s practice focuses on real estate transactions and on drafting and negotiating construction contracts. Adam is skilled in drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements and, if needed, resolving construction and business disputes. Adam also has experience guiding clients on business formation, operation, governance, and commercial transactions. He works with real estate developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and large and small business owners, investors, and lenders, among others.

California’s construction industry will undergo a significant change starting in 2026. On July 14, 2025, Governor Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill 61 into law, creating a 5% cap on retention for private works of improvement.
